As Pakistan Bleeds!

It was the other  night around 10:00pm here  in USA,which would be 10:00 am in Pakistan.

I was involved in whats app group chat with my cousins and other family members back there in Pakistan.Suddenly a cousin who is a current Senator from KP posted ," Bacha Khan University at Charsadda has been attacked by the terrorists."It went on drastically,then the news of casualties pouring in . Our chat turned into prayers and concern for the ill fated students and their families . So many precious lives are lost . Every one helplessly feeling the pain and deeply grieved with events. She then informed that there are some 3000 students inside, it was Bacha Khan' s anniversary and a Mushaira was organized. I tried to get updates through BBC and latest news from Pakistani Media.

A young cousin who is a doctor at Peshawar posted ,emergency has been declared in our hospital.

The news came that 32 years old Assistant  professor Hamid Hussain, 18 students and five security guards got killed. Army rushed for rescue and army helicopter circling around. Four of the terrorists got killed. The death toll seems more than what is officially declared. There are several injured and still in hospital. The young professor  Hamid Hussain was a jewel for his family who belonged to a remote village of Sawabi.He was a PHD in chemistry, who wished to work and educate his own people.He is survived by two small kids ,a young wife and the whole family to mourn his loss.
There were some 54 guards on duty , five of them got killed. Even the people from the area rushed with their guns to fight miscreants.
 
In Pakhtoon culture it's a norm to keep arms and guns for safety.Earlier the men would not go out without a gun. It was called a jewelry an adornment for men. This tradition faded out with modern education and people abandoned taking arms publicly. Now some says that they would re start taking arms for their safety. The whole Pakhtoon society is in a disarray with this on going blood shed, violence  and everyday’s nonsense killings. Every one is helpless to control the suicide bombers who are generally brain washed young Pathan boys.

The whole nation is in mourning again. The devastated families , their lives are shattered for now. They would try to cope with their tremendous losses but how and on what cost? We are so helpless creatures that we have no other choice but to rely on our destinies.

How this every day terrorist activities could be controlled?
We had Zarbi Azb operation against miscreants and so many criminals are executed.I would call it the worst form of insurgency and civil war . Thousands of army men and thousands of militants are killed.
I wish that all political parties , mainly the religious parties and army commanders should join together to eradicate the basic root cause of this violence and insurgency.

They should form a strategy to handle and control this situation.
 
My prayer and thoughts are with the bereaved families.May Allah give them courage to bear this tremendous loss.
