Ahmad Rahi (12 November 1923 – 2September 2002) was a Punjabi poet and writer. He was born in Amritsar. He wrote about the Partition of India. He also wrote many songs for films. His first book, Tarinjan, was published in 1952. It was a poetry book about the Partition of India.His written songs for film Heer ranjha got much fame.
