Dr Asif

Dr.  Asif   is working as Senior Faculty in the Department of Urdu  in SHSS (School of Humanities & Social Sciences) at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.  He was awarded Doctorate by Centre of Indian Languages Dept.  JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) on the topic of "Manto ke fikri wa fanni imteyazaat".  He has presented several research papers in International and National seminars and presently working on Socio Economic problems of Middle Class of Indian Society. He is a panelist of All India Radio, New Delhi.

He has compared the SAARC Poetry Festival of Young Poets organized by FOSWAL-2008, in Odessa. He has been delegate in SAARC Festival of Literature during 25-27 March, 2011. He has attended two National Workshops organized by CIIL, Patiala. He has established himself as an Urdu Literature Critic and has been writing critical articles for Indian literary journals. His academic interest is Classical Urdu Poetry and Urdu fiction and his research interest emphasis area is psychic issues of characters of Sa'Adat Hasan Manto's story. It can be said that he is a specialist of writings of Sa'Adat Hasan Manto.
