Rashid Hameed was born in 1968. He is a distinguished critic and scholar of Pakistan. Dr. Hameed has been associated with script writing, editing, and teaching in different institutions. Four of his books have been published: Mukalama Numa, Zinda Rood, Javedan Iqbal, and Iqbal ka Tasawwar-e-Tareekh. Dr. Hameed is recipient of the National Presidential Iqbal Award.
