Ziaul Haq Qasmi 

Mr. Qasmi was born on February 5, 1935 at Amratsar in India and migrated to Karachi along with his family after creation of Pakistan. His father Maulana Baha-u-ddin Qasim was a prominent religious figure of Amratsar.

Noted poet and literary figure Zia-ul-Haq Qasmi passed away here on Wednesday 25th october 2006 due to cardiac arrest.

Prominent writer and poet Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi is the brother of Zia-ul-Haq Qasmi. He has left behind, a widow, three sons and four daughters.
