Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Mohammed bin Rashid briefed on one of the projects at Cityscape
UAE Vice President, Prime Minster and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has toured various sections Cityscape, the property and real estate exhibition held at Dubai World Trade Centre from, 21-23 September. Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed latest projects displayed by real estate and tourism companies across the UAE as well as other investment projects that aim to boost the country’s economy and help create job opportunities. Commencing his tour, Sheikh Mohammed stopped at the pavilion of Meraas Holding Group and was briefed by its Chairperson Ahmed Mohammed Al Habbai on the group’s latest construction and recreational projects. Sheikh Mohammed also viewed the group’s “La Mer” project that located at Dubai's exclusive beachfront district Jumeirah in the vicinity of Pearl Jumeirah Island. Spread across 9.5 million square feet, La Mer will feature commercial, leisure, residential and hospitality components. It will comprise of four zones including a beach, leisure and entertainment hub, North Island, and South Island, the company said in a statement. Sheikh Mohammed stopped at the Dubai Properties stand and was briefed on its latest projects. His Highness was also briefed by the TECOM Investments team on the company’s Dubai Design District (D3) project. Continuing his tour, Sheikh Mohammed stopped at the Emaar Properties pavilion and viewed the huge Dubai Downtown project on display. His Highness then listened to a briefing by Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah on the The Palm Gateway project; the three-tower waterfront living and leisure complex with more than 1,300 homes, a beach club, retail, dining and health and fitness facilities. The Falcon City of Wonders stand included a massive display of the company’s flagship project which is based on famous sites such as the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. At the mega event, the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) is showcasing its latest residential offerings and unique investment opportunities available on Saadiyat Island and its Cultural District. Sheikh Mohammed also stopped at the Meydan pavilion which announced two mixed-use developments: Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District Eleven and Meydan Avenue. District Eleven is a suburban mixed-use community development featuring parks, private schools and retail businesses with two prime residential areas. Next on Sheikh Mohammed’s tour was the Dubai World Central (DWC), the world's first purpose-built aerotropolis, which displayed its second phase of its 'Residential District.' The development is strategically located within easy reach of the Al Maktoum International Airport and offers opportunities for freehold property investments. Concluding his tour, Sheikh Mohammed visited the Dubai Land Department stand. He was briefed on plans to build the Perfect City; the world's first property-related city that is 100 percent sustainable and will bring together all real estate-related businesses into one zone, the statement added. His Highness then viewed new projects on display at the Bloom Properties pavilion. Sheikh Mohammed praised the active participation of top property developers at the event with new high-quality projects exhibited by local, Arab and international companies. His Highness highlighted that such projects reflect the special focus on tourism as one of the most important elements of attracting investors. The delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohammed also included the Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Meydan Chairman Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Helal Saeed Al Marri and other officials.
