| Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid honors distinguished federal government employees |  | | UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has honored today about 1460 distinguished Federal Government employees for the year 2013, according to the results of the Performance Management System, in a ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC).
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Director of Dubai Ruler’s Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan and a number of sheikhs, senior officials and heads of federal governments across the UAE.
During the ceremony Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that at some stages throughout the developmental process of the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we ought to pause to honor the unknown soldiers who stand behind our great achievements and thank them for their unwavering loyalty and distinction.
Sheikh Mohammed addressed the distinguished employees saying that their excellence is the government excellence and that their success is a success for our country, adding that each one of them is a leader at his position and will be a great leader if he or she passed on their knowledge to others to benefit their society and create new leaders subsequently; noting that the greatest achievements at all are those related to society in order to attain people’s happiness.
Sheikh Mohammed then distributed the honorary certificates on 147 distinguished employees whose performance evaluation results were high for two consecutive years, praising their high spirit and positive energy that influenced a dynamic working environment.
Sheikh Mohammed noted that given the high rankings achieved by the UAE in terms of government efficiency, excellence and competitiveness, we ought to exert furthest efforts and work in teamwork spirit towards achieving the UAE’s vision 2021. Doing this, we would accumulate more achievements, adopting creative approaches to boost the UAE's position in global competitiveness.
On his part, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that the UAE has accelerated the pace of achievements at all levels, namely at the federal government level, thanks to the directives and close follow-up of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and their brothers the Rulers of the Emirates.
Sheikh Mansour further explained that such achievements would motivate officials and decision-makers to shoulder more responsibility and continue the march of success to maintain the UAE's prominent status at international levels. He also affirmed that the UAE went along way in human resource development, adopting the best practices when delivering healthcare, education and social services so as to achieve people’s welfare.
Concluding the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed commended the efforts by the employees and their significant contributions to improve delivery of government services and productivity, before standing for a group photo with the distinguished employees from various federal entities in UAE.
