Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid receives Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina
UAE Vice President, Prime Minster and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received today the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikha Hasina Wajed, and her accompanying delegation at Zabeel Palace. Sheikh Mohammed and his guest discussed bilateral relation between the two countries and ways to expanding economic cooperation and strengthening investment partnership. Sheikh Mohammed asserted the importance of encouraging two-way communication between the private sectors in the two countries and boasting a strategic investment partnership so as to serve the best interests of both nations. Present at the meeting were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of Social Affairs Mariam bint Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Abdullah Al Shebani, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Saeed bin Hajar Al Shehhi. Also present at the meeting was Bangladeshi Ambassador to the UAE Mohammed Omran and accompanying delegation. On the sideline of the meeting, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makotum and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikha Hasina Wajed attended the signing ceremony of a number of Memorandum of Understandings between the two countries. The first and second of which were a security-related agreement as well as one pertaining to the exchange of prison inmates between the two countries. Both agreements were signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bangladeshi Minister of State for Home Affairs. Another MoU was signed by Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali to allocate a land plot at the diplomatic area in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, to build the United Arab Emirates Embassy. Sheikh Mohammed expressed satisfaction over the agreements as well as hopes for this occasion to pave the way for boasting the friendly relations between the two nations. Monday, October 27, 2014
