Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid receive President Mohammad Abdul Hamid of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received today the President Mohammad Abdul Hamid of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the sideline of the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum. Sheikh Mohammed and his guest discussed the UAE’s support to the forum’s agenda regionally and internationally. President of Bangladesh highly praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the exerted effort to invest in such a vital sector as the Islamic economy as well as the establishment of the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre which is a direct translation of the vision of His Highness to promote a culture of Islamic economy, which is implemented internationally as well as in the UAE that is considered as the pioneer in this regard. On his part, President of Bangladesh discussed resources available in his country to attract investments opportunities from the UAE. He also expressed his country’s desire to encourage UAE’s public and private companies and businessmen to establish investment partnerships, given Dubai’s experience in developing the infrastructure of its ports, financial markets, road transport networks and tourism. UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has also received President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Noor Sultan Nazarbayev. During the meeting, the two officials discussed bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan, namely those related to aviation, economy, investment and exchange of expertise. President Bayouv explained that his country is looking forward to benefit from Dubai’s experience in organising, managing and hosting world class events and conferences, before congratulation the UAE in winning the bid to host World Expo 2020. The Kazakhstani President also loaded the wide-ranging cultural renaissance in the UAE, especially in Dubai which he described as a model city for development and growth. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Noor Sultan Nazar then received the "2014 Global Leadership in Islamic Finance Award" of the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) from Professor Humayon Dar, founder of GIFA and Chairman, President and CEO of Edbiz Consulting. President Bayouv, then invited His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to visit Kazakhstan, which he accepted. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also received Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel and discussed the importance of the Islamic economy and the role of Islamic banking in achieving global economic growth as well as the role of the UAE, in general, and Dubai, in particular, to develop the Islamic economy sector and help countries seeking to implement this economic system. President Beetle praised Dubai’s complex social system and the advancement of its infrastructure as well as its qualified human cadres who helped transforming the city into a smart city. He also lauded His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s vision which reflects due care to achieve people’s happiness. Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the three officials and wished them a pleasant stay in the UAE, affirming that this meeting reflects the UAE’s leadership keenness to foster balanced relations with all countries, based on mutual respect, shared benefits and cultural exchange in consolidation of peaceful coexistence and harmony between our people and the people of the world. Present at the meeting were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Cabinet Affairs Minister and Chairman of Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Abdullah Al Shebani, Chairman of Dubai Ports and Customs Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director General of Dubai Chamber Hamad Buamim. At meeting Luxembourg Prime Minister, present were UAE Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg Sulaiman Hamed Salim Al Mazrouie and Grand Duchy of Luxembour Nicole Bintner. Tuesday, October 28, 2014
