BJP has expertise in phone tapping: Nitish Kumar
PATNA: CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday retaliated to the BJP leaders' phone tapping and sting operations charges and said, "We don't have expertise in this, but they (BJP leaders) have."
He also took a jibe at BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi, who is facing allegation of snooping on a young woman in Ahmedabad, "A big leader (of BJP) from the western part of the country has expertise in it."
Former CM Sushil Modi, whose video footage on YouTube shows him telling media people that they run the news of only Narendra Modi on their channels and scolding party workers for poor attendance of TV reporters to cover him, had alleged that Nitish was tapping the phone of BJP leaders and carrying out sting operations.
Joining the ongoing war of words between the BJP and JD(U) leaders, rural works minister Bhim Singh said Sushil Modi was now scared after his footage on YouTube went viral and that might adversely affect his political career. "There is no need for sting operation against Modi because everybody knows about his ambitions and how publicity-hungry he is," Singh said.
The minister also criticized leader of opposition in Bihar assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, for raising objections over advertisements carrying photographs of the CM. He said each government, whether at the Centre or in states, releases advertisement to make people aware of its schemes.
