Sr. JOURNALIST SHARIEF ASLAM PASSED AWAY

SHARIEF ASLAM , one of the most senior and popular Urdu journalist of Hyderabad died in Jeddah, where he was residing for more than 3 decades. He was 7 9 .

He was extremely popular, in Jeddah, for his prompt and comprehensive reporting of literary and social events, relating to NRIs. He was well known for his art of r...eciting Urdu poetry and Jokes telling, sense of humour and pleasing nature and manners.

I too had a long association with him in Jeddah. Being senior and elder to me he was very kind to me. We enjoyed sincere and cordial relations. I was first journalist to take his interview ( published in MUNSIF DAILY in 19 9 8 ), I had been special correspondent of The MUNSIF Daily, in JEDDAH for many years..
Allah may grant him Maghfirat and Higher place in Jannat ul Firdaus. ( Aameen )
