Asad Badayuni : He was born in 1958 at Badaun and died at Aligarh on March 8. 2003. At the time, he was a lecturer in Department of Urdu at Aligarh Muslim University. Dr Asad Badauni had several awards to his credit, authored several books and three poetic collection including Dhoop ki sarhad, Khema-e-Khwab and Junoon Kinara. On his poetic collection, I (Muslim Saleem) had written a lengthy critical review, which was published in Andaze (Allahabad), edited by Prof. Mohammad Aqeel. Asad Badauni was a good friend of mine at AMU. Kulliyat Asad Badauni has also been published by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language.
