Daniyal Moinuddin 

Daniyal Moinuddin(born-1964) is a Pakistani writer, Grew up in Lahore and Wisconsin, the son of a Pakistan civil servant, Daniyal Mueenuddin an American writer graduated from Dartmouth.

The author of the debut story collection In Other Rooms, Other Wonders, Daniyal Mueenuddin, writes about life in rural Pakistan – eight stories full of local politics, never-ending battle against corruption, violence that erupts over a cherished motorcycle, arguments between newlyweds whose outlooks on life prove crushingly incompatible. 

At ease in both cultures Daniyal writes with an understanding of the hierarchies and traditions of Pakistani life but also with an appreciation for what Western audiences know and, more likely, do not know about life in Pakistan.
