Naseer Ahmed Nasir   is a prominent trend setter Urdu poet and editor of a well reputed literary magazine Tasteer. He was born on April 01, 1954 in a village Nagrian of district Gujrat, Pakistan. Now living in Rawalpindi ,  Naseer Ahmad Nasir is a prolific Nazm poet of national and international repute. His literary Magazine "Tasteer" and translations of his poems in many languages have won him literary acclaim all over the world among poetry lovers. His poem Samunder Raazdaan Mera Agar Hota" was rendered by Dr. Amjad Parvez in the music composition of music composer late Mian Sheheryaar to whom this poem is dedicated. This poem was rendered in the album titled 'Samunder' released by Muhammad Ayub of Oriental Star Agencies, Birmingham, UK in the nineties with other participating singers such as Ghulam Ali and Taranum Naaz.
