Nazim Panipati, was a famous lyricist, film writer and copywriter of Indian and Pakistani film Industry in 40s and 50s. Nazim Panipati was born in 1920 in Lahore. He is brother of well-known filmmaker Mohammad Walli (famously known as Walli Sahib).
Nazim Panipati writes more than two hundred songs for Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi language films. Indian legend singer Lata Mangeshkar recorded the first song of her career Dil Mera Tora, Mujhe Kahin Ka Na Chora Tere Pyar Ne, is also written by Nazim Panipati. The song became hugely popular throughout the length and breadth of India. He was also introduced Vaijayanti Mala, Johny Walker and Helen to the Indian film industry.
In 1952, Nazim was migrated to Pakistan. Film Guda Guddi was his first Pakistani film. In mid 60's he join Pakistan Television Corporation, and write songs for a musical programme Chankar.
On 18 June 1998 he was died in Lahore, Pakistan.
