Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar on Monday went around the under-construction Kankerbagh indoor and outdoor stadiums and discussed with engineers its designs and entry and exit routes. He said that the sports complex should be of high standard and the people should not face inconvenience while entering and exiting the complex. 

He was told that 80 percent of the construction work has been completed and now it is in the last stage. The CM was accompanied by deputy CMSushil Kumar Modi, art and culture minister Sukhda Pandey, development commissioner A K Sinha, principal secretary, finance, Rameshwar Singh, HRD principal secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, art and culture secretary C Lalsota, principal secretary, building construction, Sudhir Kumar and other officials, besides local MLA Arun Kumar. He also inspected the site of Premchand Rangshala. 

The CM particularly issued instructions with regard to firefighting and air-conditioning system as well as facility of generators sets at both the indoor stadium and Rangshala. Nitish asked the development commissioner to hold meeting at his level to ensure all the necessary facilities and completion of all the works by the first week of February. 

The CM said the Rangshala work should be completed and inaugurated by January 14. He said that the maintenance of the Rangshala should be managed by a society. "Before its inauguration, it should be ensured that the stadium is fit for holding national and international level events," Nitish told officials.
