Afzal Guru to his wife in the dream
( Feb.2013)
( Only the Congress-led U.P.A. could hang him in such a brutal manner, but now even Mr. Mani Shanker Aiyer is lamenting)
I was craving to see you at the time of noose,
You too might be filled with pain at my death,
Even my grave can not be wet with your tears,
Even my son can not feel my smell in my clothes.
Let the people discuss the role, I played,
For me it is now futile to comment on it,
But I have satisfied the ‘collective conscience’
My neck has buried all the voices of outrage.
It is the ignorant who are finding legal flaws,
They fail to appreciate the real spirit of law,
It is “ We the people ” who made the Constitution,
It is “ We the people ” who are the supreme power.
But “ We the people”, is not so easy to understand,
Sometimes its reflection is found in the blind faith,
Which may witness the demolition of Babri mosque,
Sometimes it is traceable in ‘the collective conscience’.
