* O Sweetheart *

O Sweetheart

O sweetheart, there's nothing more to say.
Your deathly silence has worn me out.
The likes of me cannot be blamed;
My patience yielded nothing at all.
With this kind of love, you taunt my soul,
Day and night with passion I yearn.

O sweetheart!

No cure exists for such a malady,
None but my healer has caused this pain.
Who would defend me in a court of law,
When the defendant, prosecutor and judge are one?
Startled I awake, and sleep again,
Tormented with endless love.

O sweetheart!

I eagerly welcomed the darkness,
In a night of strange longing.
I shed torrents of heart-wrenching tears
that ran down my cheeks.
He, who is ashamed to shed tears
Has not experienced the true impact of love.

O sweetheart!

You offer me no form of recognition,
When I desperately cling to your every word,
This torture you subject me to is a sin,
Have mercy on my drowning soul.
What good would rainfall be,
To him who has already died of thirst?

O sweetheart!
