* O Healing Verse *

O Healing Verse

O healing verse, you've not visited me yet,
Your words a relief, a to cure my ills.
I beg you, answer my pleading call,
Only you can soothe my bleeding wound.

My branches havent sensed your pleasant breeze,
Nor have the roses brightened the fields.
You have been long gone, I know not why,
Your apathy and indifference are wearing me out.

What has driven you to forget me so,
When we exchanged such wonderful verse?
You are the essence of the poems I write,
How often in them I sang your praise!

You dominate my thoughts and feelings entirely,
I drink from your well, yet my mind thirsts for more.
If you dive in the fertile layers of my mind,
You'll find treasure and precious gems and pearls.

My longing for you has painfully worn me out,
It recalls my love for the one who's so dear.
Pity the soul, wounded by so much love,
Which you have denied me and kept us apart.

You are passive and feel no remorse,
This distance between us tears me apart.
So far you are, yet so close to my soul.
Your love is the blood that runs in my veins.

I am patient, though deprived and burdened,
I hide my sadness, yet my eyes give me away.
