A Challenge

Many a champion did I defy in my aspiration for excellence,
Only the determined can soar to heights unknown.

He who yearns for fulfillment must constantly endeavor.
The glories of today must surpass all past glories.

A lion resting within its den is not the same as a lion
Drenched in blood?baring freshly stained teeth.

O teller of triumphs recount unforgettable feats,
Of our youth, proudly raising their flags and banners.

O horseman you need not lament, you need not be troubled,
No other than the best can ride ahead of the rest.

I ardently sing with joy as the challenge rises.
Hardship I am used to, it fervently feeds my fire

I exhausted the weary earth, yet I never tired.
I drained the birds in the sky, wore out those who blamed me.

I prevailed and remain strong. There are those who win and yet they tire.
My era overcomes those who dare to challenge the formidable.

At times most critical, even the wise and experienced
Are tormented with bewilderment, fear, and delusions.

As the agony increases, they cannot eat or drink
Nor can they sleep when the torment reaches its highest peaks.

Determined we moved along unwaveringly buoyant,
Riding the earth?s saddle and steering its reins.

Every horse knows its rider, who it carries on its back.
Only the most resilient can handle the reins in hardship.

We have won?and all our people have triumphed.
This victory we gift to leaders and nations.
